Blues to field a Colts team in '09

HASTINGS Football Club is making a determined effort to hold on to its younger players and will field a Colts team next season.
Talks between senior and junior club officials since the end of the season showed many under-16 players were not making the transition to the under-18 side.
Colts will effectively be an under-17 team and give juniors an extra year to prepare for under-18 football.
Players joining the Colts will have their fees paid by the club.
The Blues are looking for a Colts coach to join Grant Cust (under-18s), John Mitchell (reserves) and Tyson Lane (seniors). Send applications to:
