Club Notes - Round 6

What a great roll up of past players and officials at our reunion last Saturday in our 200th game against Mornington. A special thanks must go to all the past players and officials who attended from Mornington it was great to see. So many people from two great clubs at the one function, it was good to see.
A special thanks to our club historian Vic Jeremiah, who had all our clubs history books on display for everyone to see, it is a great credit to Vic for all the work he has done on compiling our clubs history.
It was also fantastic to see the players from our 1948 premiership team at the reunion, there is only six members of that team still alive, and four were able to attend, they were George Slocombe Captain Coach, 4 time league best& fairest winner Bob Stone Albert Coleman and John Goss, with the other two players unable to attend due to poor health, being Ernie Allen and Dave Nillson.
The results in any of the games didn't go our way, but the seniors played a great second half of football only to lose the lead in the last minute of play, but it was a good contest for what was the 200th game between the two clubs so congratulations to Mornington and hopefully we will win game 201.
This week Edi-Asp which I think might be the 100th game against them, lets win this one.
