TYABB v's HASTINGS
Thursday, July 08, 2010 - Posted by Robert Morrison
A terrible day for Hastings at the yabbie pond last weekend, with all teams Football and netball losing.
The Under 18’s kicked off the day and were just out classed by a good Tyabb team, but so long as the boys keep listening to Stuey, and learn a bit each week, another win is just around the corner.
The Reserves are probably a victim of a combination of things, a lot of injuries in the club, and a few players who only train once a week, they were good for a half, and probably didnt make the most of their chances in the first half, but just ran out of steam in the second half.
The Seniors put in their worst performance for the year, now thats not to take anything away from Tyabb who are chasing a finals spot, but it was evident as early as ten minutes into the first quarter that Tyabb had come to play, and Hastings were going through the motions, while some players tried, most of the players were simply not interested. That attitude needs to change today, as the loser will surely finish last, so run out there today boys with the right frame of mind, and have a good win for YOUSELVES!
The netball girls in both A and B grades came up against strong Tyabb teams, but the efforts of the girls in trying to establish and build our netball club, will see the rewards for their efforts in the next few years.
Stick with it girls.
Good night had by all at the annual ball, good to see so many turn up and have a great night
