PRE SEASON TRAINING

Dear current and new players of the Hastings Football Club,
I hope you have had a good break over the Christmas-New Year period and are ready to launch into season 2010.
2010 will be an exciting year for us as we aim to play finals and achieve the ultimate success together.
Pre-season training will start at the football club on Monday, January 18 at 6pm sharp:
Hastings Football Club
Thomas Barclay Oval
155 Marine Parade, Hastings
This will also be the first session for the under 18s as we will be training as a club together until February when new U/18s coach Stuart Gaye will take full charge of his side.
Training will be rigorous but this hard work will be rewarded with success throughout the year. All players will be expected to attend training and non-attendance may jeopardise a spot in the team due to missing out on key fitness components.
Training will be two nights a week being Monday and Wednesday up until March 9th when we begin training Tuesday and Thursday prior to our first practice game.
I urge all current, past and new players to attend training for what will begin a new phase of the Hastings Football Club.

Just a quick letter to let you know that training for the Hastings Football Club has commenced for the upcoming 2010 season. The Under 18’s will be training together with the seniors up to Xmas and most of January and then late January/early February will be combined on our own and also with the seniors.
The scheduled training dates are as follows:-
Tuesday 8th December 6:00pm at Hastings foreshore (near Tennis courts)
Friday 11th December 6:00pm at the Hastings Club
Tuesday 15th December 6:00pm at Hastings foreshore
Friday 18th December 6:00pm at the Hastings Club
I have endeavored to contact all players eligible for the Under 18’s in 2010, however I have not had a good response due to wrong numbers or non return of messages left.
So far it is very difficult to ascertain the exact numbers of players for the Under 18’s next season so I would really appreciate it if you could let me know via email, phone call or text whether you are playing next season or even if you are undecided at about playing this stage.
I would love to meet up with you at training at one or all of the above dates so that I can introduce myself to you. We have 20 players from last years 18’s list and 11 players from the Under 16’s list eligible to play in the 2010 season.
The whole Hastings Football coaching staff has changed from last season and Glen Michie is the Senior playing coach, Craig Perrot is the Reserves coach and I am coaching the Under 18’s. The whole coaching staff as a group are very excited about the upcoming season and allowing genuine opportunities to all players, we also have the basic philosophy of ENJOYING your football both on and off the field.
